The YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh today will recognize eight women for leadership in the workplace and community at its annual "A Tribute to Women" awards luncheon.
The event will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Westin Convention Center hotel, 1000 Penn Ave., Downtown. A VIP reception will begin at 11 a.m.
Honorees include communications consultant Laura S. Horner for arts and culture; Giant Eagle Director of Government Relations Jacqueline Dixon for business and industry; consultant Patricia L. Siger for civic and community service; and University of Pittsburgh Vice Provost and Dean of Students Kathy W. Humphrey for education.
Other awardees include:
Bender Consulting Services Inc. founder and Chief Executive Officer Joyce A. Bender for entrepreneur; Zubrow Hunt Group President Mary Zubrow for health and human services; Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP law firm partner Beth A. Slagle for professional services; and University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing Dean Jacqueline Dunbar-Jacob for science and technology.
