Wednesday, May 14, 2008

Pittsburgh police are searching for a woman they believe is responsible for three armed convenience store robberies in two days.

The white female is described as between 23 and 25 years old, 5 foot 3, 140 to 150 pounds with long straight brown hair worn in a pony tail and a freckled complexion. She robbed a Sunoco on Banksville Road and a CoGo's on Brookline Blvd. Monday afternoon, then she returned to the same Sunoco yesterday at 5 p.m. and demanded money from the cash register once again. All three times, the suspect pointed a handgun at the clerk.

The suspect was captured on surveillance video and was last seen wearing blue denim pants and a dark colored sweatshirt with white lettering on the front.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crimes to call the robbery squad at 412-323-7151.
