Carrie and Cannon wedding pix; Jones-Walters feud; Dourdan charged with possession
Friday, May 09, 2008
This police-booking photo shows actor Gary Dourdan from "CSI." Dourdan has been charged with felony possession of heroin, cocaine and ecstasy stemming from his arrest on April 28, prosecutors said. Dourdan is scheduled to appear in court in Indio, about 130 miles east of Los Angeles, on May 28.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon give People the scoop and, more important, the exclusive photos from their surprise quickie wedding in the Bahamas.

We're sure young Nick is ecstatic but that look on his face on the cover seems to say, "Lord, what did I just do?"

"We really do feel we are soulmates," Mrs. Cannon tells People. "I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me."

Nick adds that his new bride is "beautiful on the outside and 10 times as beautiful on the inside."

We don't know what the Vegas odds, are but we give it six months.

No, we're more romantic than that, maybe a year. Still we wish them all the best!

Oooh it's getting nastier than an Obama/Clinton debate between former "View" co-host Star Jones and her former boss, Barbara Walters.

We don't know why Star had to say anything about B.W. and her affair revelation but she did.

"It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters, in the sunset of her life, is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humilitating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book," Star told Us Weekly. "It speaks to her true character."

Now, why did you have to go there, Star?

Anyway, we can understand the soon-to-be-ex-Mrs. Reynolds addressing what Miss Barbara had to say in the book about her and her gastric bypass.

Basically, Barb said Star didn't want anybody to know about it at first so everybody on the show had to lie every day about how Miss Jones suddenly got so slim.

Barbara says she didn't feel comfortable having to cover for Star. But she's OK with putting her business in the street about her affair with former Sen. Edward Brooke.

We're just saying.

In response to Star's low blow, Barbara's spokesperson had this say about that:

"I will not dignify this with a comment. Barbara's written words say it all!"

Can't we all just get along?

Anyway, co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck shows off her post-baby body on the cover of Fitness magazine.

She's soo conservative, though, we're surprised she sported a post-"Survivor" bikini.

We have to admit Elis looks good.

We have another question for ya.

Can't SOMEBODY save Amy Winehouse? Please!

The troubled 24-year-old singer was questioned by London police for eight hours Wednesday night after police found a video that allegedly showed her taking drugs, reports People.

This child needs an intervention quick. We need to get some church mothers together and pray over her.

While we're interceding on Amy's behalf, let's send up a few words for former "CSI" co-star Gary Dourdan.

Brother man has been charged with three felonies for possession of a controlled substance.

You know he was arrested last week in Florida when cops found heroin, cocaine and Ecstasy in his car. Gary was sleeping in the vehicle at the time.

On a positive note, at least he wasn't driving the wrong way down a one-way street.

But maybe now we know why he's not going to be back on the show.

Actress Charlotte Rae best known as Mrs. Garrett on the '80s sitcom "The Facts of Life" gets her cougar on with Adam Sandler in his latest flick, "You Don't Mess With the Zohan."

The 83-year-old Ms. Rae, who was at the "TV Moms' " event at the Academy of Television Arts & Science, told Associated Press that she and the Sand Man "make love together."

OK, don't think about it too long.

Speaking of love, we want to send some out right now to our former colleague, pioneering journalist and phenomenal woman, Jean Bryant.

On Mother's Day at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall, she will hold her 36th and final Miss Black Teenage Pageant.

This was no ordinary contest. The participants received weeks of important career and life lessons leading up to the pageant. And when they're done, these young women can hold their own in a room with anyone.

Actress Tamara Tunie is one of "Jean's Girls" as is singer Kendra Ross, who's doing big things in NYC and will be there Sunday.

This is going to be an event not to miss.
