Q.Would the Steelers brass consider dealing next year's 1st-round draft pick or a package ( picks and a player) to the Dolphins for Jason Taylor? All signs point to him getting out of Miami and we certainly need D-Line help.

Jeff Pingetori, Sterling Mass.

BOUCHETTE: Taylor, who played at Woodland Hills High School in suburban Pittsburgh, has had an outstanding NFL career that is ongoing. But at age 33, and with the position he plays, he won't have many more seasons. The Steelers haven't traded away a first-round draft pick for a player since the 1960s and they're not about to start now. Also, Taylor does not fit the style of defense the Steelers play. They need ends for their 3-4 defense, not outside pass rushers.
