Information at www.pa-trolley.org.

PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE

Fayette County -- Officials broke ground Thursday to start Phase 2 of Mon-Fayette Expressway, consisting of 8 miles through parts of Redstone, Luzerne and Centerville to Route 40. The $455 million project is to be done in late 2011 or early 2012, a schedule determined by construction of 3,000-foot-long, 160-foot-high bridge over Mon River near Brownsville.

Route 28, Allegheny Valley -- Northbound single lane closures, Harmar to Creighton. Southbound closures 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. from Pittsburgh Mills to Route 910/Harmar. Traffic may be stopped for brief period this week for more blasting, weather permitting, for hillside stabilization work in Harmar. Route 65, Pittsburgh -- Single line closures in both directions 9 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays through mid-June on Ohio River Boulevard while crews repair small bridge between Termon and Millerton avenues on the North Side.

South Main Street, West End -- Block-long stretch that's also Route 60 closed for roadway relocation and to build new bridge to Steuben Street. Posted detours use Alexander and Dumas streets. Work is part of the $52.6 million West End Circle improvement.
