Q: With Shaun Alexander being released by the Seahawks yesterday, what are your thoughts about seeing him in Pittsburgh to split time with Parker?
BOUCHETTE: This is a popular question these days. Seattle cut Alexander in order to go with Julius Jones and T.J. Duckett. That should tell you something right there. Alexander was great in 2005, the past two seasons he's been injured and unproductive. He's 30 years old. The Steelers need good, young runners and not fading veterans. Someone looking for a third-down back might consider Alexander, but the Steelers signed such a back in free agency, Mewelde Moore. No deal.
