
INDIANAPOLIS -- A day after her victory in the Pennsylvania primary, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton told an Indiana audience that she is looking forward to a vigorous campaign in the Hoosier state against Sen. Barack Obama.
At a downtown rally this afternoon that drew about 1,000 people, she promised to visit the state as often as possible before the May 6 primary. She noted that she, husband Bill Clinton and daughter Chelsea already had made 50 visits to the state this primary season.
Indiana is the next battleground between the two Democratic contenders for president. In her 50-minute speech, Mrs. Clinton touched upon a range of issues, including plans to boost the economy, create good jobs, and make affordable health care more accessible.
Mrs. Clinton said she "had been up pretty late" last night, "but it was worth it," referring to to her 10-point victory over Mr. Obama in the Pennsylvania primary.
