BOSTON -- Right winger Marian Hossa, who was making his Penguins debut, sprained the medial collateral ligament in his right knee tonight and is expected to miss about a week.

He was hurt in the second period of their game against Boston at the TD Banknorth Garden.

The Penguins trailed, 4-0, midway through the third period.
