Light snow, freezing rain greet commuters; schools face delays
Friday, February 22, 2008

A wintry mix of snow and freezing rain complicated driving conditions for this morning's commute as wintry weather delayed or canceled school days across the region.

The National Weather Service in Moon has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the region that will remain in effect until 7 p.m. today.

The service predicts snow, freezing rain and sleet likely today, becoming all snow after 2 p.m., with a high near 32. A total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of around an inch is possible.
