Q: Was it as refreshing to you as it was to me to see how classy Coach K was in defeat? He gave due credit to a hard working Pitt team, unlike former West Virginia Coach Rich Rodriguez who wasn't willing to even acknowledge the team who clearly beat him. What's your thoughts on Coach Dixon compared to Coach K?

Jim G., Humble, Texas

Fittipaldo: Krzyzewski was very respectful of Pitt and Dixon. He said all the right things in what had to be a difficult time for him. He had just watched his team blow a 16-point lead and saw it dominated by a bigger and stronger team in the paint. He spoke of Pitt's toughness and its persistence. I had been around Krzyzewski at a few Final Fours, so I knew he would be classy.

As far as comparing Dixon to Krzyzewski, they're not in the same class and Dixon would be the first to tell you that. Krzyzewski has won three national titles and been to 10 Final Fours. Dixon has not been past the Sweet 16 yet. But Dixon is one of the rising stars and it's only a matter of time, in my opinion, before he gets over the hump and makes a Final Four and/or national title game.
