PHOENIX -- The Pirates are planning a video tribute to Barry Bonds, Major League Baseball's new home run king, when he and the San Francisco Giants visit PNC Park for a doubleheader Monday.
The tribute, not yet complete, will be shown a few minutes before the second game of the doubleheader, which is a makeup of two games lost to rainouts in April. The first game is scheduled to begin at 5:05 p.m., the second game about a half-hour after completion of the first.
Bonds played for the Pirates in 1986-92 and was a two-time most valuable player before signing with the Giants as a free agent.
Bonds will face the Pirates this weekend in San Francisco for a three-game series.
