Yesterday, when county Councilman Vince Gastgeb, R-Bethel Park, introduced his ordinance to limit where registered sex offenders can live, his colleagues from both parties joined as co-sponsors.

County Council sent the measure, which would not allow people convicted of sexual offenses to live near schools, parks or day-care centers, to committee for further discussion.
