Santorum joins law firm

Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum has joined Downtown law firm Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC in its Washington, D.C., office to provide business and strategic counseling services to the firm's clients.

Mr. Santorum, a conservative Republican who lost his re-election bid Democrat Bob Casey in November, has been working as a professional speaker. He served 12 years as a senator and four years in the U.S. House of Representatives before that.

Tim Ryan, chief executive officer at Eckert Seamans, said the firm is "extremely pleased" to add Mr. Santorum to its staff.

"He is highly respected among business leaders and we are very fortunate to have him as part of our firm," Mr. Ryan said in a news release

Mr. Santorum has a bachelor's degree from Penn State, a master's in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a law degree from Dickinson School of Law.

Mr. Santorum will continue to serve as a senior fellow with The Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, D.C., and as a contributor to Fox News Channel.

Eckert Seamans has offices in Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Southpointe, Philadelphia, Wilmington, Del., Morgantown, W.Va., Boston, White Plains, N.Y., and Washington, D.C.
