Wednesday, April 12, 2006

A 19-year-old Long Island, N.Y., woman died this morning after being hit by a car in Squirrel Hill late last night.

Wei Wei Wang, a Carnegie Mellon University student, died at 8:36 a.m. in UPMC Presbyterian, said John J. Smith, a forensic investigator with the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office.

Miss Wang had gotten off a bus and was crossing Forbes Avenue at Margaret Morrison Street when she was struck by a car. The driver stopped immediately, police said.

Police closed Forbes from Margaret Morrison to Beeler Street last night to investigate.
