Latino coalition strategy session planned
Friday, September 17, 2004

Members of the Pennsylvania Statewide Latino Coalition will visit Pittsburgh this weekend for a planning and strategy session.

The coalition formed as a nonprofit in 2001 but has been advocating for Latinos among government officials and private businesses for nine years.

"Our community is changing the face of this state and nation," Dr. N. Catherine Bazan-Arias, PSLC Western Region chair, said. "As the fastest growing community, Latinos are a driving force to the commonwealth's economic, educational and political future."

While here, the board will also attend the 25th Annual Latin American and Caribbean Festival at the University of Pittsburgh.

For more information, contact Bazn-Arias at 412-521-0858.
