Hempfield Area School District officials are trying to figure out how a pornographic image made its way into a motivational computer video presentation last week.

Superintendent Wayne Doyle said the investigation should wrap up later this week, but he believes Thursday's incident was just an accident.

The presentation was made to several hundred district employees and about 30 students and was designed to be motivational. Somehow an image of two naked men appeared among other images projected from a laptop computer, Doyle said.

The teacher who produced the presentation was so upset by the mistake that she couldn't eat for a day, Doyle said. She has turned over her laptop computer so the district's technology department can try to determine how the mistake occurred.

The motivational program has become a staple at the district. It is meant to showcase new programs and employees and to salute retirees and awards that school staff won the year before.
