The Port Authority will detour buses on 20 routes starting Thursday.
Some stops Downtown, in the West End and on West Carson Street will be temporarily
discontinued, while temporary stops will be established in some places. For the most part,
buses on the 20 routes will be detoured outbound on either the West End Bridge or onto the
Fort Pitt Bridge via Commonwealth Place and the Liberty Avenue outbound ramp
Here is a list of the bus routes affected by the work, and the bridge, bridge ramp or
both they will use to leave the city:
21A Coraopolis, Liberty Avenue ramp to Fort Pitt Bridge
21B Kenmawr, Liberty Avenue ramp to Fort Pitt Bridge
21C West Park, Liberty Avenue ramp to Fort Pitt Bridge
21D Kennedy, Liberty Avenue ramp to Fort Pitt Bridge
21F Presston-Kenmawr, Liberty Avenue ramp to Fort Pitt Bridge
26A Ingram-Sheraden, West End Bridge
26B Broadhead Manor, West End Bridge
26C Ingram via Steuben Street, West End Bridge
26E Robinson-Imperial, West End Bridge
26U Robinson-Oakland, West End Bridge
31A Crafton-Carnegie, West End Bridge
31D Bridgeville, West End Bridge
31E Bridgeville, West End Bridge
36A Mt. Lebanon, Liberty Avenue ramp to Fort Pitt Bridge
36B Virginia Manor, West End Bridge

People who use buses from Downtown to the Duquesne Incline will have to use routes
21A-B-C-D-F during the project. Riders with questions can get information on their buses
or by calling the Port Authoritys customer information center at 412-442-2000.
