Icons Of American Photography: A Century Of Photographs From The Cleveland Museum Of Art

This exhibition presents 58 photographs chronicling the evolution of photography from a scientific curiosity in the 1850s to one of the most potent forms of artistic expression of the 20th century.

This exhibition features rare and remarkable photographs taken by Esther Bubley in 1951 of the Children's Hospital Of Pittsburgh.

Esther Bubley (1921-1998) was an American photographer who specialized in expressive photos of ordinary people in everyday lives. The original Children's Hospital was built in the 1890s and was replaced earlier this year with a new, state-of-the-art facility.
