This exhibition of more than 70 works from the museum's permanent collection and local private collections reveals how photographers from the past 160 years have explored the human subject, through an exceptional range of practices: from daguerreotypes, to black-and-white silver gelatin prints and color chromogenic prints, to digital inkjet prints.

Included are rarely exhibited gems by masters of the medium --- such as Julia Margaret Cameron, August Sander, Alfred Stieglitz, Robert Frank, and Garry Winogrand --- alongside the work of little-known photographers.

This exhibition features 100 original photographs by renowned Los Angeles-based photographer Julius Shulman of houses designed by iconic Modernist architects, such as Richard Neutra, Albert Frey and John Lautner. Also presented are 20 original drawings, and renderings of three key projects by Neutra.

Born in 1910, Julius Shulman is an architectural photographer who specializes in California modernism around the world.

Inspired by William Shakespeare's "William III," this play is an evocative fantasy drama that depicts the classic struggle for power and status as six queens vie for the throne.

From the aged Duchess Of York, who is 99 years old, to young Lady Anne, who must marry Richard III in order to reign, to the Duchess' daughter Anne Dexter who has no hands, the play traces the shifting passions and ambitions of the six women who are trapped in a world they vie to control, where nothing quite goes as it should. As this mysteriously beautiful story unfolds, these noble women find themselves caught in the complex dance of life, grappling with selfish aims, painful losses and the blinding desire for the crown.

Intensity, virtuosity and an instinctive sense of style characterize the artistic dialogue between the German clarinetist Susanne Ortner-Roberts and the American pianist Tom Roberts as they perform Klezmer music.

Klezmer is a Jewish folk musical tradition dating to 15th century Europe. Klezmer is easily identifiable by its characteristic expressive melodies reminiscent of the human voice.

Founded in 1992, this quartet specializes in passionate, uninhibited and spellbinding classical and contemporary music.

The quartet takes its name from Antonie Brentano (1780-1869), believed by some to be composer Ludwig van Beethoven's (1770-1827) "Immortal Beloved".

Handmade between 1700 and 1830, this exhibit features lifelike figures and colorful details that recreate the Nativity within a vibrant and detailed panorama of 18th-century Italian village life.

More than 100 superbly modeled human and angelic figures, along with animals, accessories, and architectural elements, cover a 250-square-foot area and create a memorable depiction of the Nativity as seen through the eyes of Neapolitan artisans.
